The ten cards in each element/suit correspond to the Ten Spheres of the Tree of Life. The four elements correspond to the Four Worlds of the Kabbalah. One additional card, the Mystery Card, represents the secret Sphere Eleven of the Tree of Life, "Daath," the doorway into other dimensions. Book One also elucidates the foundations of Pacific Mystery School, the architecture of the Kabalistic Tree of Life as a paradigm for New Consciousness, and the fundamentals of Tarot reading with Tarot of the Spirit. - Book Two, The Tarot Family, describes the sixteen Family Cards, also known as "court cards" and "face cards." These cards, too, are part of the Minor Arcana or Minor Mysteries. Each of these "cosmic beings" represents a specific complex of personified Kabalistic and elemental energies. The Cosmic Family - Father, Mother, Brother and Sister - are mystical Guides and Guardians as well as aspects of the individual and collective psyche. Each oversees and enhances specific Minor Arcana cards as well as specific seasons and days of the year. - Book Three, The Major Arcana, expounds upon the twenty-two Key or Initiation cards, each of which represents one of the interconnecting branches of the Tree of Life. As we pass through these Initiations, we are forever transformed. The three Books of KABBALAH AND TAROT OF THE SPIRIT are also available in three separate Full Color Collector's Editions. Описание:
Another Modernity is a rich study of the life and thought of Elia Benamozegh, a nineteenth-century rabbi and philosopher whose work profoundly influenced Christian-Jewish dialogue in twentieth-century Europe. Benamozegh, a Livornese rabbi of Moroccan descent, was a prolific writer and transnational thinker who corresponded widely with religious and intellectual figures in France, the Maghreb, and the Middle East. This idiosyncratic figure, who argued for the universalism of Judaism and for interreligious engagement, came to influence a spectrum of religious thinkers so varied that it includes proponents of the ecumenical Second Vatican Council, American evangelists, and right-wing Zionists in Israel.
What Benamozegh proposed was unprecedented: that the Jewish tradition presented a solution to the religious crisis of modernity. According to Benamozegh, the defining features of Judaism were universalism, a capacity to foster interreligious engagement, and the political power and mythical allure of its theosophical tradition, Kabbalah--all of which made the Jewish tradition uniquely equipped to assuage the post-Enlightenment tensions between religion and reason. In this book, Cl mence Boulouque presents a wide-ranging and nuanced investigation of Benamozegh's published and unpublished work and his continuing legacy, considering his impact on Christian-Jewish dialogue as well as on far-right Christians and right-wing religious Zionists.

Which is itself a further smoke screen hiding a very dangerous system of Majik facilitation. A system that has been used for ages and is currently being used against the masses worldwide. Описание: In this wide-ranging discussion of Kabbalah-from the mystical trends of medieval Judaism to modern Hasidism-one of the world's foremost scholars considers different visions of the nature of the sacred text and of the methods to interpret it. Moshe Idel takes as a starting point the fact that the postbiblical Jewish world lost its geographical center with the destruction of the temple and so was left with a textual center, the Holy Book. Idel argues that a text-oriented religion produced language-centered forms of mysticism. Against this background, the author demonstrates how various Jewish mystics amplified the content of the Scriptures so as to include everything: the world, or God, for example. Thus the text becomes a major realm for contemplation, and the interpretation of the text frequently becomes an encounter with the deepest realms of reality. Idel delineates the particular hermeneutics belonging to Jewish mysticism, investigates the progressive filling of the text with secrets and hidden levels of meaning, and considers in detail the various interpretive strategies needed to decodify the arcane dimensions of the text.

Описание: The Book of Judith has aroused a great deal of scholarly interest in the last few decades. This volume, the first full length commentary on Judith to appear in over 25 years, includes a new translation and a detailed verse-by-verse commentary, which touches upon philological, literary, and historical questions. The extensive introduction discusses the work's date and historical background, and looks closely at the controversial question of the book's original language. Biblical influences on the book's setting, characters, plot, and language are investigated, and the heroine, Judith is viewed against the background of biblical women (and men). The influence of classical Greek writers such as Herodotus and Ctesias on the work is noted, as are the interesting differences between the Septuagint and Vulgate versions of Judith.
Описание: In recent years the role of religion in the avant-garde has begun to attract scholarly interest. The present volume focuses on the work of the Romanian Jewish poet and visual artist Isidore Isou (1925–2007) who founded the lettrist movement in the 1940s. The Jewish tradition played a critical part in the Western avant-garde as represented by lettrism. The links between lettrism and Judaism are substantial, yet they have been largely unexplored until now. The study investigates the works of a movement that explicitly emphasises its vanguard position while relying on a medieval religious tradition as a source of radical textual techniques. It accounts for lettrism’s renunciation of mainstream traditions in favour of a subversive tradition, in this case Jewish mysticism. The religious inclination of lettrism also affects the notion of the avant-garde. The elements of the Jewish tradition in Isou’s theories and artistic production evoke a broader framework where religion and experimental art supplement each other.
