Le manuel peut s'utiliser aussi bien en cours qu'en auto-apprentissage, en raison de la prépondérance des exercices.Comme le niveau 1, il se caractérise par une progression solide et un parcours clairement balisé. Il est composé de 26 unités de leçon, de 13 unités ne comportant que des exercices et d'un récapitulatif des connaissances sous forme d'exercices classés selon des actes de parole. Ce qui représente environ 250 exercices d'application.- Une unité de leçon se construit selon le principe suivant: une page de gauche présentant le vocabulaire mis en contexte de façon vivante;- une page de droite présentant un éventail d'exercices d'application.Le manuel se découpe donc en ensembles de deux unités suivis de 4 pages d'exercices, offrant la possibilité d'acquérir le vocabulaire au fil d'une vingtaine d'exercices environ, dont la progression est graduelle. Chaque exercice se réfère à plusieurs unités de leçon.A la fin de l'ouvrage figure un récapitulatif des mots et des expressions pour chaque unité et un livret de corrigés séparé accompagne ce manuel.
