Each chapter proposes a taxonomy of cognitive constructs (such as divided attention, sustained attention, focused attention), lists tests which may have been used to assess each cognitive construct, and provides specific rehabilitation strategies to improve or accommodate the identified neuropsychological impairments. The book includes a chapter with information pertaining to U.S.A. resources in the community for persons with brain disorders to assist them, including national organizations for the most common neuropsychological disorders (such as brain injury, stroke, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and Multiple Sclerosis), as well as general resources for persons with disabilities. Information provided will be of use to family members, rehabilitation professionals, and others who work with people with brain injury.
