Among the reporters is Laffi Rend n, an old flame of Artemas from Harvard. As more grisly killings occur, Artemas discovers a secret cabal, Grupo Vampiro, which leads him to a labyrinth of rituals and crimes stretching from mediaeval Eastern Europe to Mexicos most powerful people.

About the Author
James Peyton was born and raised in La Jolla, California, where he spends time when he is not in San Antonio, Texas, or Mexico. He has a B.A. in political science from Trinity University and an M.B.A. from Southern Methodist University. Jim has authored four well regarded books on Mexican cooking, history and culture and is finishing another. His articles have appeared in Fine Cooking, Texas Highways, and Food & Wine. His first novel, Vampires of Bustamante, grew from his years of experience in Mexico and was a finalist in the Writers League of Texas novel contest.
