Life molds our views, our values, our decisions, our goals and our methods. So unintentional or not we could at some point, mishandle love.
On the other hand, there are those of us who have mastered selflessness and acceptance. We have dealt with our own issues and now enjoy the results of our growth and development in spite of what we have been through. We now enjoy love.
